Kenneth Poon graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic in Quantity Surveying in 1975 and joined Langdon & Seah,one of the largest construction cost consultancy professional
firms in Hong Kong upon graduation. He was promoted to Partner/Director in 1988 and became Managing Director in 1997.
During his tenure as Managing Director, the Firm expanded its business in China and at 2016 had permanent offices in 17 cities and over 2,000 staff (including 400 in Hong Kong and Macau).

In2012, Langdon & Seah merged withARCADIS NV, a global engineering consultancy firm listed in the Amsterdam Stock Exchange (EPA:ARCAD). After the merger, Kenneth was appointed as Chairman (China.HK) of Langdon & Seah, overall responsible for the business in China, Hong Kong and Macau.
2015年，他被提升为亚洲区总裁，负责监管亚洲各种凯谛思(当时名为凯迪思)实体的整合，包括威宁谢、克力思、in-Projects，Senes和安成，其中包括10个国家的4,500多名员工，当年营业额约为3亿美元。
In 2015, he was promoted as CEO of the Asia Region, supervising the integration of the various ARCADIS entities in Asia including Langdon & Seah, EC Harris, in-Projects,Senes and Hyder, which comprise over 4,500 staff in 10 countries and an annual turnover of approx. US$300m in 2015.

潘根浓先生于2016年底从凯谛思退休并成立了LESK Solutions Co. Limited，致力于为建筑行业电脑应用程序的开发与实施，
并于2021年加入立齐，成为集团主席。
Kenneth retired from Arcadis at end 2016 and established LESK Solutions Co. Limited, dedicated to the development and implementation of IT applications for the construction industry. He joined LESK in 2021 and became the chairman.

潘根浓先生一直是社会活动的积极成员。他于1991年至1992年担任香港测量师学会工料测量组主席。他曾于1998至2003年期间 担任香港艺术中心理事会成员。在此期间，香港艺术中心成立了香港艺术学院，并开展公共艺术课程，在公共场所推广艺术品。
Kenneth Poon has been an active member in Community activities. He was chairman of the Quantity Surveying Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors from 1991-1992. He served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Hong Kong Arts Centre from 1998-2003. During this period, the Hong Kong Arts Centre established the Hong Kong Arts School and started its public Arts program, promoting artwork in public spaces.
他后来在2009年至2011年期间担任香港专业工料测量顾问公会主席，积极促进处理与香港政府有关的问题。并于2008至2013年亦 为香港城市大学土木及建筑工程咨询委员会成员，于2012年至2016年成为香港贸发局基建发展咨询委员会委员，于2015至2017年 成为香港绿色建筑委员会成员和P＆RC委员会成员 ，自2017年至今，为香港救世军物业咨询委员会成员。
He later served as Chairman of the Association of Consultant Quantity Surveyors from 2009-2011, promoting active dealing of problems with the HK Government. He was also Member of the City University Advisory Committee for the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering from 2008-2013, Member of the HKTDC Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee from 2012 to 2016, Member of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, P&RC Committee from 2015-2017 and Member of the Hong Kong Salvation Army Property Advisory Committee from 2016-date.

During his years as Director in Langdon & Seah, Kenneth streamlined the work process and implemented a rigorous quality assurance system to enhance the quality of services delivered. The Firm worked for all public institutions and nearly all private developers in Hong Kong. Notable projects included the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre, One Bay East, Ocean Shores, the PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building and Pacific Place 3 shown on the left.

In 1985, Kenneth pioneered the business in Mainland China by working on the China World Trade Centre (CWTC) in Beijing. The project was the largest single private development at the time and was invested by the Kerry Group and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade (MOFERT).
Following the CWTC, Kenneth worked closely with other State Owned Enterprises, including Beijing Travel Services, Central China Television Corporation, Industrial and Commercial Bank Corporation, China Resources Land etc. and assisted them in their property developments in China.

Following the outward investment trend by Hong Kong and Mainland China investors, Kenneth expanded the Hong Kong Firm’s business to new markets including India (the Huawei Manufacturing Base in Bangalore) and Vietnam (the Tung Shing Square in Hanoi) and assisted sister companies to handle developments by Hong Kong or Mainland Chinese investors (e.g. the Ion on Orchard in Singapore).

Kenneth has been the Director-in-charge of Langdon & Seah's Estimation and Cost Research Team from 2000-2012 and issued regular commentaries on the effect of new policies on construction costs. The Team has regularly been appointed to undertake research studies on specific topics by government departments and private institutions.
Recent studies include the underlying reasons for the rapid increase in construction costs in Hong Kong, a buildability marking system for building works and a construction cost index system for civil engineering works.

In 2005, Kenneth and his partner M C Loo, led the Company to explore electronic tendering and in 2008 established the L10 Electronic Tendering Platform which provided value-added features to both the tenderers and the consultants handling the tenders.
The system received wide recognition and is now being used by the HK Housing
Authority for its capital works tenders.In his years as CEO of Arcadis Asia,Kenneth led the Group of companies in implementing the Oracle ERP System,standardizing the process of over 50 companies into one.After retirement from Arcadis,Kenneth established LESK Solutions Co.Limited to continue his innovation in this field.His latest product is the Les Analytic Database for assisting and analysing big data collected from e-tendering platforms.
